SUMMARY; this whole week was just pretty much just blaaaah, i mean friday wasn't that bad it was ISA and everything went well but i wasn't "feeling it". this week week things changed, and i guess they weren't good changes, made me feel some type of way that im sick of feeling, which i dont want to bore whoever reads this (me) by listing my problems, but i felt like i should just have a disclaimer that my blog will be as lame as this past week was (; . so yeah thissssss week period 5 worked on ID's but some of the week i didn't need to work, like monday cheana made somebody cover for me bc she's the realist LOL. so uhh monday, periods were 2,4,6,&3. period 2 we had to do spring boards for english. period 4 we worked on unit rates for math. period 6 we finished research & the first draft of our immigration project. then period 5 we had free time to fix our grades bc Mr.Ing wanted everyone to be able to work for ISA on Friday. there was no school on Tuesday for voting so i went to pearl ridge and picked my brother up from school with my sister, and slept i guess. wednesdays periods were 3,5,&1. period 3 we took a test on cells & parts of cells. period 5 we got more free time to fix our grades, and deriecka brought us food so everyone ate food, derieckas the bomb.com tbh. then period 1 we had to draw observations and idk why but my teacher seriously asked me if i was high, i was so confused like did i look high? LOL i just asked why i got a 'b' in my hawaiiana art for not being creative when she was the one who told me to make the background "swirls". i did exactly what she told me to do, and she gave me a 'b'. really dumb, i dont like my math teacher anymore super irritating. but thursdays periods were 4,6,&2. period 4 we did proportional relationships. period 6 we did peer reviews for our first draft and the boy complained to my teacher that he couldnt read my paper and wrote and "I can barely read this you need to fix that, this is a problem", when everyone else could read it, frickn dummeh. bwahaha im lame, okay. Fridays periods were 5,1,3,&4 but i we had isa so we didn't go to our classes except period 4 for CCLM. but for Isa i had to keep score for court 1's basketball games. then was in charge of the ewa makai students who practiced on court one (they have hot boys in 8th grade dude). and for period 4 we did a basketball game which was lame so yeah-erz dass' it for the week.
highlight? uhmm, friday. bc i got to inrtoduce myself and meet all of the hot guys in ewa makai then had to sit and watch them warm up bc they were at court one, then kept score for most of their games which was like bomb, that was so fun omfg. and i knew most of the boys from elementary school, i didnt know they were that good at basketball like whoaahh. lowlight? a lot of the week was pretty lame not really a big lowlight to talk about.
LESSON; things can change really quick, even if you dont what it to so you have to just deal with it. and defiantly dont whine about it, bwahaha people dont like that they will call you annoying and tell you to shut up. oops (;

new friends, yipee.
SUMMARY; so this week, we got 3 new leadership boys! And two of them were in my period; period 5. the two boys in period 5 were named Tavin & Mahonga, they were just trying it out for a week or two to see if they liked it and if it they were good leadership students. & this week we were working tv. so on Monday the periods were 3,5,1,&4 in period 3 we focused on cell parts, structures, & functions. in period 5 we did some ISA planning. then in period 1 we went to the media center to work on our presentation, and in CCLM we did a bingo game so Monday was a pretty boring dayy. Tuesday's periods were 4,6,2,&1, in period 4 we just reduced fractions which was lamerz. in period 6 we finished the movie we were watching last week and did research for a essay we have to write soon & in period 2 again we just did some boring stuff then in period one we drew a monster for Halloween which; mine was the nicest LOL. Wednesday's periods were 5,1,&3. period 5 chill, we just worked on whateverz but period one we went to the media center again, then in period 3 we studied and stuff. Thursdayyys periods were 6,2,&4. period 6 was just research again and period 2 was critical reading, then in period 4 we did multiplying & dividing fractions. lastly on Friday the periods were 1,3,5,&6. in period 1 we did our presentation on the research we did for an artist we were assigned. period 3 we just did a studying game and afte food, period 5 we just read our AR books and I had to deliver the iPod with jaydeeee, period 6 we had to describe pictures with a lot of details so that if you weren't looking at the picture you would know what it was about.
HIGHLIGHTS; the highlight of the week would probably be Friday when everyone dressed up, I thought I looked pretty cool LOL. LOWLIGHT; uhh maybe that other people dressed up as the same thing as me so I wasn't that special. *sigh*
LESSON; that some people are really lame when it comes to dressing up for Halloween, uaint2cool2dressup. pretty much everyone was a nerd, or a cat, or a hippy, like cmon be creative! be a skull LOL.

retreat yo'
OVERVIEW; so yeahh, this week we went to the retreat. & It was really fun! but this year it was during school since the fall break week was booked by somebody else. we all got our own room in the beach house. pd.5 got upstairs (with no electricity) since everyone in our period came to the retreat. pd 3 & pd 1 got the rooms connected to the kitchen. so period 5 had to share my flash light & wait until around midnight for it to finally cool down since we had no fans, it was really hot. & this year Tiana, Cheana, & I brought our snorkel stuff so we got to go out and see the fish in the water, that was pretty cool. Also taylizzle & I brought our Polaroids but her quality was better so we ended up using my film and her camera, but it was still cool I got some good pictures from the field trip. but every day we had to have a few 'sessions' where we work on something were assigned to, such as; session 1, we wrote about our group the positives & negatives of our group.
HIGHLIGHTS; some highlights of this field trip would probably be that 1; we got to bond with eachother, & learn more about ourselves and eachother which was really nice. 2; that the people who got to come were really nice & I got closer to them which I think was good. and 3; the food Mr.Shin brought was pretty good. Taylor, Tiana, & I ate the left overs the next day, so on Tuesday we ate 4 times, ahaha. LOWLIGHTS; some lowlights would maybe be 1; that the group leaders didn't really get along this year so we didn't really mix with the other periods too much which really sucked. maybe 2; we had to miss school, I had a lot of work to make up because my teachers waited for me to come back to give me all the work I missed, which ughh really sucked I'm still catching up with the work I missed on the 20th-22nd. and the 3rd; maybe that we didn't have any power up stairs so it was really hot in there that was sucky & then there's that we couldn't have our phone so we couldn't take pictures other than with cameras we brought. but over all it was all gee'.
LESSON; so I learned a lot of things about a lot of people. one thing I learned about my group was; were good at doing what needs to be done while having fun, we finished our sessions on time while being able to joke around & have fun with eachother, not needing to worry about falling behind or not finishing on time. we aight' we aight'. one thing I learned from each of our chaperones was that Shayna; is really nice & is a very good teacher/ leader. she helped us when we needed it, and encouraged us to be good in a nice way, making her a good leader. Laila; is really fun, and likes to watch crabs eat eachother. she's also really nice to everyone & can focus when she needs to but also be fun too. and Jolene; is in advanced placement for school and she gets a lot of homework, she's really nice and fun and very creative by how she did her vocab cards and her memory collage. all of the leaders were nice & fun I'm like really excited to see them again anytime I do. and what I learned about Mr.Ing was that he has a little Niece who loves Elsa from Frozen & can cook food.

chill week ☻
this week was actually pretty good, I mean like I didn't hate going to school this whole week, I kinda had fun I guess. we were working ID's this week, so that meant we pretty much had nothing hard so yeah it was an easy week. coming back to school from fall break wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, I was excpecting myself to be really tired & wanna go home, but people made it aight' LOL. so Starting with Monday which was my sisters 22nd birthday the periods were; 6,2,4,&1. sociaaaal studies was alright, we got new desks for the next quarter and we had to share with the class 'what we enjoyed throughout the fall break' I didn't know we would share so I wrote that I liked sleeping, that's it. it was embarresing when I had to tell everyone that all I did was sleep, LOLOL. in englishhhh we we took a quiz and wrote our planner topic that we do every week. then mathhh we just did some renovating to our math folders & did a multiplication table. lasssstly in art we just messed around in CCLM bc we had a sub that was our regular math teachers sister. Tuesday's periods were; 1,3,5,&6. arttttt was first, and we went over 'the principles of art' the whole time drawing examples ect. ect. ect. in scienceeee we went over living & no living things and that's all we could do bc cashius was annoying the teacher so the whole time she was just talking to him, it was kind of funny actually. leadershippppp was third & we started our pd.5 cheer which was pretty fun I guess we were messing around a lot. CCLM that day was social studiessssss and we went to the computer lab to take a test prep that was really tiring and I didn't like at all. WENDESDAYY's periods were; 2,4,&6. in englishhh we worked on the authors point of view. in math we found a new table leader & did multiplying fractions/decimals. then in social studies Ms.Liu gave me my work that id miss while being at the retreat. THURSDAYS PERIODS; 3,5,&1 the good periods :). in science we worked more on living & no living things with our sub. leadershippppp I took my AR test and we went into the chorus room to help fix the cards on the wall that keep falling. lastly in arttttt we did a grid drawing of anime characters which was really dumb and easy whoops. FRIDAYYYS PERIODS; 4,6,2,&3 the (sucky periods). in math we took a unit 2 practice test & we have to study bc were taking a test soon, Tuesday I think, but I'm gonna miss bc I'll be at the retreat. sociallll studiessssss, I had a guy sub so it was kinda awkward and cashius threw the paper at me, Alonso got myself a paper cut, frickn cashius. but we read an IHU NUI story about old Hawaii & that was it. englishhhhh we went over a step by step critical reading strategy that we have to start usingggg, & lastly for CCLM was an inference worksheet that took forever to do, & I forgot to spit out my gum at lunch so I sorta got into trouble but didn't.
HIGHLIGHTTTS ☻ ; pretty much the wholeeee week, & when Darylyn walked me to the leadership class and we took pictures together, we sorta look a lot alike.. kinda creepy LOL. and also Thursday when I didn't need to work or anything & got to go outside with people lol. LOWLIGHTS ☹; uhh idrk I guess when I failed my bidet check, but I'm not even sure I failed it bc we had two, I failed one and passed the other one soo idkkk.
this week I the lesson I learned was that 'the lesson/journey of today can only begin when you learn to let go of yesterday', it wast quote in my planner that I saw on Monday that I really thought about and believe in.

assignment blog; Zumbaaaaa
so this assignment blog is, according to the title, is; for our zumba routine! so if you don't know zumba is a type of dance that you're actually exercising while you're dancing. each period was assigned a song and we had to work with our period to make a zumba routine that we would later dance in front of the whole school, trying to attract people to dance along with us. period one chose the song 'timer' by Pitbull ft. Ke$ha, and their routine was pretty creative, I thought it was pretty cool. period 3 chose the song 'ice ice baby' by vanilla ice, and their routine was pretty cool too. I feel like our dance was the easiest, as in we had the slowest moves while everyone had fast moves that were cool. well anyways, period 5 (the fab 5) chose the song, 'get me bodied' by queen Beyoncé :). and the way were graded on this assignment was pretty interesting, the person who got the most people to participate got an 'A', the group next most participants was a 'B', and the least got a 'C'. and after everyone performed their zumba routine that they made, period 1 got a 'B' so the second most participants. period 3 got the 'C' so they got the least amount of participants. and us, period 5 got an 'A' because we got the most participants (19 people).
this assignment was a really fun assignment, I think me and my period had a lot of fun with it. I think one of the 'highlights' of this assignment would be making the dance. we had such a hard time creating the dance, we just pretty much did whatever and saw what we thought matched the song and what didn't. but also while making the dance we got to bong a whole lot, we got to see parts of each others personality that we haven't seen before, and learn more about each other. such as the fact that Tiana really likes to body-roll and Deriecka isn't good at reading directions, haha. but I guess I would say a low-light was when we performed it, it was kinda awkward because non of the other leadership students danced with us, it felt pretty awkward.
so in this we obviously used our 'GLOs' and heres some examples of how; GLO #1 is to be a self directed learner, each person in the group had their own part to dance and we all had the responsibility of learning the dance and remembering it. everyone in period five has done that including myself. GLO #2 is to be a community contributor, in order to make our group dance at all we would need to work together to decide which moves we should use and which we shouldn't so period 5 including myself used has accomplished that GLO. GLO #3 is to be a complex thinker, me along with everyone in period 5 had to think hard to decide what dance moves would appeal to the crowd of 12, 13, & 14 year olds. which we got the most participants so I would think we did pretty good with that GLO. GLO #4 is being a quality producer, meaning we would've produced a good zumba routine and again since we got the most participants i think we did pretty good with that GLO. GLO #5 is an effective communicator, me and everyone in period 5 have to communicate with each other and we had to communicate with our peers to teach them how our routine goes and to ask them to participate along with us and our zumba. GLO #6, the last GLO, was to be an ethical user of technology, almost everyone from period 5 had posted on social media outlets the dates that we would be having our dance routines, asking people to come participate with us, some people even posted for us to help spread the word, which was really nice.

I think it was actually a good way to grade our assignment, as well as being a good motivation, to make us want to get more people to participate in our zumba routine. period 5 dance routine in paragraph form;; First we're gonna be clapping to the beat. Next we will be doing high knees for two missions, then we will do shuffle claps, starting by stepping to the right. Next is the lazy monkey, we will be doing this for 16 counts. Then we will be doing swing lock, swing to the right first, for 16 counts. Next is the lipgloss dance, we will start with the right side. Next is high knees again. Then shuffle clap, then lazy monkey, then swing lock, and the lipgloss dance for two times though. We will now be doing stretches. First stretch is cross toe touches. Touching your right foot first. Then we will be doing touch the sky and touch your toes. Starting with touching your toes first. Then we will do shuffle clap again, then lazy monkey, then swing lock and strike a pose for the ending!

fall break, ayyyee.
So happy that this quarter is finally over, like yassss. 1/4 of this year is already over, it feels like school just started and a whole quarter passed. that means the semesters half way doneee, and pretty soon I'm going to have P.E. instead of art, hopefully this quarter lasts a littttle bit longer than the last. LOL. but this week, my job pd.5 had tv along with after school sales andd lunch-music. annd, Mond-ayeee's periods wereee 1,3,5&4. so starting with art, i finally finished my scratch art. I'm sorta disappointed of how it came out, the shark looks messed up, bc of the paint our teacher had us use. (it was the wrong kind) but after i finished i just got to do anything as long as I wasn't a disturbance.. LOL. the next period was science with Tiana & Deriecka (dare-ee-eck-ahh). and we had to do a worksheet on a myth busters and i had to work with my group, honestly very hard due to my dysfunctional table. Then was leadership I tried to take some AR tests, and I finished my middle bar (official goal), but not the rest. So I can go to the retreat, but I wont get end of the year recognition. smh, freaking irritating! CCLM for monday was math, we did the PB&J thing where he gave him directions of how to make it, and he makes it. My groups came out horribly, it was so funny. Better than any other group though. Tuesd-ayeees periods were 2,4,6&3. the first class was english and we had to do peer reviews for our writing piece for our 4th draft. then was then i had to go to my math class and all we worked on was adding & subtracting positive and negative numbers. third was social studies and we took a vocab test on words we worked on while writing about ancient hawaiians, i got two wrong meaning i got a B, whatever. CCLM for tuesday was science and i sorta forgot what we did, sooo were just not going to write about that one. Wednesd-ayeeees periods were odds; 3,5&1, the best periods :). period 3 was agin science with Deriecka & Tiana, and we took out test on the scientific method. I did well, bc it was open notes so it was pretty easy. then it was leadership again, and we couldn't and that was the period that i stayed the whole time in the library looking for a book that didn't exist. last period was art, and i didn't need to do anything bc i finished everything and the quarter was ending so, i just watched Darylyn do her painting of the turtle, that everyone makes fun of bc "it looks like a chicken". Thursd-ayeees periods were 4,6,&2. Math we did a worksheet on subtracting positive & negative numbers. then was social studies again, we did a some game with the write boards and my group cheated bc we kept getting all the questions wrong but we added points anyways, whoops. last even learning period of the quarter was english and we fixed our final draft, then free time. Lastly Frid-ayeees periods were 5,1,3,&2. but everyone was late to the first period bc we were getting yelled at, bc nobody wanted to dance with pd5 (my period) for the zumba, when it was required of every leadership student. but in the first period was leadership for me anyways so i wasnt late. me & Tiana had to go n a dumpster run for all the empty ice cream boxes. then just clean since we were on restrictions. then was art and again i didn't need to do anything since i was done. last odd period of the quarter was science, and we just watched maleficent the whole period. and the last period of the entire day was english we watched the old goose bumps episodes that everyone hated, but Ms.Ballou gave us cookies so i couldn't complain.

quarter one? done.
Did you read the title and think I meant; "this quarter was so easy" uhh, not even close. I didn't realize how involved leadership was with our school. how important me were to the whole school. right when we started school, certain jobs were thrown at us that I had no idea about, like somebody forgot to tell me that we had everyday responcibilities. I thought it would be way too much for me, that I wouldn't be able to handle it at all, but as weeks went on I realized that I wasn't as weak as I was expecting myself to be, obviously with the help of friends I got through first quarter alive. our first big assignment given to us was to make a flyer for the upcoming 'Welcome Social' and the 'Welcome Social' itself, and it was a pain in the butt. I finished the flyer in time and mine turned out pretty nice except I had a little too much open space. but the welcome social, oh gosh I had to do the ring toss and that meant I needed to walk back and forth to pick up the rings every time they threw it, very very difficult when you're out of shape. our next big assignment of the quarter would have to be our leadership PowerPoint and that was the hardest thing by faaaaar, I stayed up so late to Finnish my video essay and Tiana stayed up even longer, I'm glad that it came out nicely though and I'm proud of my grade for it. another one was open house but that wasn't really anything, and we don't need to talk about that. our last and most recent obstacle was finnishing AR to be able to go to the retreat &&&& keeping our grades to above a "C" and I did well with that, I have a 4.0 as of rightttt nowww.
transitioning from elementary school to middle school was so different, especially that my middle school is Ilima. being with new people, mean people, cool people, all different people. I may have not surrounded myself with good people in the beginning but I'm sure I did now. in elementary school we didn't have to move from class to class is 2 minutes, and we didn't have 6 different teachers. it was strange, but I like it. and being around the environment and people at Ilima obviously changed my behaveir, I don't know how exactly but I'm not the same girl as I was from holomua. we didn't have security guards and we had air conditioning, but it all changed. it took a while to get accustomed to but obviously we had to and we did, it's fine now. it's like my new homeeeee. just don't like riding the city bus, that sucks badly. that's one thing I miss about holomua, not needing to ride the city bus.
I had many highlights from this quarter, I got make good relationship.. brake some good relationships, lol. every period 5 is a highlight for me I get a little more time to spend with my period to get to know eachother a little more and bond a little more. but one big one was open house, well not the open house it's self, before that! we had the leadership reunion, I got to meet some of he old people from leadership, although I didn't talk to most of them I got the see the past generations of leadership. ten we got subway, the subway was the best. But after thaat; me, Taylor, Tiana, & Cheana walked to Taco Bell and got some Baja blast, obviously the best day so far. not gonna forget that day for a looooong time. then theres low lights of the quarter, hmm maybe recently when everyone out of their AR until recently and I did get to finish my goal, but not the top and bottom bars. I'm happy that I'll be attending the retreat, but it sucks that I won't be able to be annouced at the end of the his year! I stupidly regret procrastinating of doing my AR until a week until, I know it won't happen again. I won't let it happen again, scary but true.
the picture in using is from the open house day, you might not be able to see the Baja blast but it's there. I promise you it's there, almost empty but surly there. it's all of period five, my familia. (-:
